Using tdci heated seat switch as a work light switch?
Think I’ve made a wiring mistake. I’m using this switch to switch the positive to my rear work light. I’m thinking it’s not the right switch for this. Am I right? Switch is part no YUF500150LNF.

Yes that's absolutely fine, it's a positive side switch with internally driven telltale LED.  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

There is a very good wiring diagram on this thread:

Cheers gents. The switch was from MUD, just with a different bezel on it. Just checked it over and wired it in. Works fine. Thumbs Up

Why use the seat heater switch?
I used the rear heated window switch. Made sense as (A) I never use the window and (B) all the wiring is already at the back of the vehicle so it’s simple to tie in with 2 worklights at the rear of the 110.
Oh and (C) I like a hot bum Laughing

I haven’t used the actual switch from the heated seat, I bought an extra heated seat switch from MUD and a work light bezel to replace the heated seat bezel and used it in my double din set up for an OEM looking switch. Does that make sense?!!
