Just saying, but ‘Honour the Uplifted’ weekend is happening at Cafe and Machine the weekend of 20-21 August.

“It seemed to go down well when the #CultOfMachine filled the Yard with all manner of high-riding, knobbly-tyred go-anywhere machinery back in June for our first ever Honour the Uplifted evening, so it seems only right that the theme returns for an entire weekend. The folks at Bowler, Jaguar Land Rover Classic Works and Arctic Trucks will once again be showing off some of their fleet, along with Isuzu and their ultra-dependable D-Max. From Jimnys to Defenders, and Nomads to Land Cruisers, it’ll be an entire weekend of celebrating the vehicles that come into their own when things get muddy, rocky, and icy, and keep going no matter what you throw at them. This is one you definitely don’t want to clean your car for – the muddier, the better. JB

Soon as you’ve settled on a date and location I’ll let you know. Quite a few v8 owners nowadays!

Been looking into venues. Gilks Garage Cafe seems like a decent bet.

C&M and the Classic Motor Hub (Bibury) are other options. C&M requires tickets and Classic Motor Hub often have their own prearranged events at weekends.

Open to suggestions Thumbs Up Charlie
