Temperature Gauge
My V8’s temperature gauge works, but never actually reaches the mid-point. It will get close to the first thin line before the thermostat opens, then settling on the first thick line. The photo below is the gauge after a two hour drive at 60mph.

Any ideas as to how I can get the gauge reading correctly?

Righto. I’ve ordered a new sender in case. It’s the original factory gauge. Charlie

Hi, I’m having exactly the same issue with my v8 with original gauge. Did the new sender help? Do you know the part number?
Many thanks!!

Did this fix the issue?

Mine is just with a specialist having the carbs refurbished, and he's having a look to see if its getting to temp which would point to the guage as the thermostat is new...
