Fuel Filler Flap
My Fuel Filler Flap is still unlocked after locking the car. The info from JLR Germany is: The Land Rover Defender 110 MHEV 3,0 l Diesel do not have a locking mechanism. Is this true for all modells ? Question

It seems to be on fairly recent production that the locking fuel filler flap is no longer part of the central locking system. There is a recent thread about this issue from a member with a recently delivered V8.

JLR could at least have substituted an old fashioned lock on the flap or a locking cover on the top of the filler hose like I have on my 1996 TDi 300…… Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!

Seems an odd thing to do given the current fuel issues and no doubt increasing risk of theft??

If you have a look on the powerfull uk site, it seems that you only have to buy the actuator and the rest of the parts are already on the vehicle.

Just had an email from LR saying that they are launching a Defender 130 on 31st May. You do have to wonder what they are playing at, launching a new model when they cannot build existing models to spec. Rolling Eyes

I think it's mad what is being removed, the single dipping mirror would drive me mad, before we start, but in fairness, it is working as designed as they have changed the design/spec etc call it what you will is not a fault it's just annoying

More that a dealer can't retro fit Mike
