The 2 Lightweights look great together. Thumbs Up
I didn't realise the registration numbers were so close.

Talking of sisters the F1-11 in the picture is LN 444, here's 443,

I bought 05kd63 18 years as a bit of a resto project, doing some research, turned out it was the 3rd.last built. The last one was also referenced as 05kd65 and went to the red arrows. I tried for a few years to find it and eventually traced it back to the landrover centre in Huddersfield. They bought it from the lightweight centre in Somerset whod had it since it was cast. It was last sold in 2003 and didnt know where it was.

Someone on here was asking about lightweights back in 2018 as there was one for sale on ebay. I clicked the link and there it was, albeit a bit scruffy

Can you legally run those presumably MOD plates or are they simply a 'show' type thing??

Why not take yours for a drive over to RAF Scampton and ask if you can hitch up to one for old times sake. I'm sure they'd be obliging.

Sorting some old photos out and came across these of my previous lightweight that was red with a white stripe.
This was 1985 though, just as my current one was being built Laughing

It was actually gold when I first got it and was still on the road.until 5 years ago. I know where it is Whistle

The fat tyres have been a recurring theme over the last 37 years!
