My leafers
Seeing as we now have a leafers section I thought I'd do a proper thread about my series trucks.

It all started when I bought this series III when I was about 21 or 22. I sold it in around 2006-7.

I had in the meantime bought this IIA 1-Ton 109", which although rare in itself was doubly so as until recently it was the oldest known of its type. I have had it nine years now and frankly a thorough rebuild is about due.

Late last year I bought this series III 1-Ton, which was a cherrypicker. It is very much a project and will need a new chassis and overall rebuild.

This 1966 88" is another ex-SEB vehicle. It is currently being rebuilt onto a new chassis.

I also have a part share with two mates in this series III 1-ton we rescued from a scrapyard several years ago. It is currently in kit form awaiting rebuild.

I like the 66. Safari roof is just the coolest. (No pun intended).

Wow! The 2A one tonne is especially nice.

Is that the edge of an 80" on the right of the photo of the S3 you have part shares in?

It was on it's way to a service, so had the brakes adjusted anyway. The road was largely empty and even at that speed (dual carriageway) I was the slowest thing on it...

It sounds busy as the gearing is so low, and you have that gorgeous six pot sound...

This is more typical though.
