Power loss
I know, do a search, did that, but didn't find what I needed.

This last summer while cruising through Slovakia, I found that, with foot to the floor, the landi was slowing down...chalked it up to going up hill with air and fully loaded. Problem was solved with a quick on and off. Upon returning home i ran a scangauge and didn't come up with any faults.
Yesterday, for the first time since then, it happened again. No air, loaded a bit. (probably makes little difference)
Both times it has happened it was on drives of over 1/2 hour...
A quick pull over, on off seems to fix the powerloss
Runs fine afterwards with no memory of the problem
Wife says it doesn't happen when she drives it... Whistle

Any help as always is greatly appreciated

There are a few of us that have exactly the same problem, without any success in finding the cause. Loaded, high ambient temps, hilly area - result = limited loss of power. Would like to think it's the engine cutting back power to preserve itself, but LR say it shouldn't do this, alothough they are not sure of the cause as no fault codes are registered.

Thanks for that. Yesterday, it was around 13C outside so, that might nix the high ambient temp part.
I will have to get it into my dealer as they seem to be pretty good and thorough...germans ya know.. 2008 Defender 110 60 year Edition (sold unfortunately)

We're desperate for a solution, so please let us have them (if they find the fault).

I wonder if any of of the remap contingent on here have had similar problems, or if if the Egr/erg blocking club have Had similar issues? 2008 Defender 110 60 year Edition (sold unfortunately)

IIRC, someone else had this issue and found that opening the fuel cap helped. It could be the fuel filter and/or pump starving the engine of diesel? --
