I think you might find it's the rubber trim at the top of the door?
I have it on all my doors but haven't found a solution. |

Did you manage to get this diagnosed and repaired? Mine's doing the same now and I'm booked in at the dealers next week... Current: MY22 P400e SE Prior: Discovery Sport HSE, Jaguar F-Type S, Discovery 3, RR Vogue |

Same happens to mine, every few months i take it to the dealers to get them to
lubricate the door rubbers. Some people are swearing by Gummi Plfege as a solution, you can apply it as soon as the creaks return.. not tried it myself though yet ![]() MY20 110 P400 SE Defender MY10 3.0 RR Sport |

Every few weeks I have to grease the rubber seals on all the doors and the sunroof.
The LR service uses this exact grease, so I use the same one: https://products.liqui-moly.com/silicone-g...ent-2.html MY2021 Defender 90 P400 SE |

The sound suddenly disappeared so whether I cured it with the lube eventually doing its thing or it simply cured itself I don't know.

Took the car to the dealers yesterday. They adjusted the doors and lubed the door seals which has (for the moment at least) solved the issue. Current: MY22 P400e SE

Mine has a creaking/cracking sound but it seems to be coming from the front somewhere, as yet l've not been able to trace the source of it.

I have an annoying creak/rattle coming from driver door constantly. I’ve applied gummi to all rubber which hasn’t helped. I have a feeling it’s a wire inside the door. Has anyone else experienced similar - thanks

Mine sounds like it has something loose in the driver's door. I first noticed it maybe a month ago but it's getting very regular now with any more than light braking.

I had it too (when light braking), I was unhappy about it, I lubricated all the rubbers, nothing. Then I sprayed oil into the lock and it stopped...strange but helped

I have the same click/creak on light braking, sounds like it's in the driver's door. My car takes a beating so I expect a few more rattles 4 years in, actually one rattle has been in my right ear since I bought the car and I've never isolated it, so I just put up with it. But I am curious if greasing the locks makes a difference. What did you spray into the lock?

I tried Sonax for rubber the first, than it helped I asked LR for spraying some their oil. Since this I only sometimes use any oilspray I have.

Update
lf you have a creaking or cracking noise coming from the front and you can't trace it, it's most likely the two front undertrays. Take them off and you'll find white residue from oxidation where the bolts hold them on. Spray with grease or similar, re assemble and all will be silent again. |
