Thanks for the advise i appreciate it, funny enough can’t fault the Moore Speed team as they were who i sold my scout to last year and i said then when I’m back in the market i’d give them a call . The 300 that was recently advertised and its a stunning bike for sure.

I’d be looking for a few slight tweaks such as rear suspension as standard its like mahogany Laughing but the engine and gearbox. Ive never experienced anything as smooth it was unbelievable . Smaller indicators may change the seat / exhaust and do something with the rear mudguard as I’d like some water protection in case caught in the rain

The dealer i bought mine off didn’t survive during covid so hence my dealings with the Moore Speed team.

Thanks for the advise too on the FTR much appreciate it

Had lots of bikes over the years and without doubt the only one i'd have again is a BMW GS. Does 90% of what everything else will do and just has that something about it.... a bit like a defender.

Hi Steve W,

Moore Speed had a custom Scout a few months ago that I dragged my heels over too long and by the time I went to drop a deposit on it, it was sold. I popped in there to arrange an MOT and saw the 300 for sale. Didn't wait this time and two days later the deal was done. It was a prerequisite of the purchase that the bike had to go to the NEC for the 2021 bike-show to sit on the Polaris/Indian stand. So that's where it's sat at the moment. I am lucky Moore Speed Racing is less than two miles from home for me.

One I missed out on had an armored glass tank but skinny ice-cream van wheels.

Handling not the best on the road with the Africa Twins 21inch skinny front but I'm older and slower now and its ideal for sedate touring. Pic below is on the Black Mountain and actually enjoying the bike.

That AT looks great. Fancied one, but never had one yet.

Added a V85TT to the fold, which I really like:

and over winter I've been off-roading a bit with a CRF300L:

Why have only one, I find that you need at least 6 or 7 especially as her indoors has a full bike licence too…. Whistle

Ah - Lucky You!!! Smile

My GF did bikes for a couple of years, but now preferring the pillion - hopefully she'll get back into it soon.

This was her 650:

Hey there! Choosing the right motorbike can be quite exciting. It's awesome that your GF has experience with bikes and enjoys being a pillion rider for now. Hopefully, she'll hop back into the saddle soon and experience the thrill firsthand once again. By the way, if you're looking for some great options, you might want to check out don-performance.com for a range of motorcycles and accessories. Happy riding!

I managed 42mph on it, that was slightly downhill however with a tailwind and a serious tuck down behind the handlebars Laughing
