landreiziger loom & sidelights
Since fitting the landreiziger loom I am now no longer able to have just side lights on without having normal driving lights on as well.
A wiring issue or a feature of the landreiziger upgrade loom?

With the ignition off, i get side lights as i used to. 1999 Defender TD5 110

Have you disabled the dim-dip system on the original wiring?

If your lighting loom was standard spec to begin with, then I’m pretty sure that won’t be a fault of the Landreiziger kit.

I had disabled the dim dip prior to fitting it, so that’s something I didn’t have to contend with.

Martin (at Landreiziger) is a very helpful guy though. If you don’t find a fix, send him an email. Donald

Nope. But, with the old head lights I used to have side lights and dim headlights then that stopped working. Never sussed why.
But now you mention it, I wonder if a small amount of voltage is getting to the relays and that is causing the issue?
Disable via the relay or the dim-dip resistor under the wing? 1999 Defender TD5 110

Yeah that will be the issue then. I would just unplug the inner wing resistor and that should sort it Thumbs Up

Sound. I was sat on the train(avoiding the train nutter) and pondering if the dim-dip could cause the issue. 1999 Defender TD5 110
