Other way round I think, the outer face of a +33 offset wheel will be 18mm further inboard than an equivalent +15 offset wheel. The opposite would be true if they were negative offset wheels.

Ah yes that makes sense. Thanks Shroppy Thumbs Up So the tyre wall would then be pushed outwards by 18mm (towards the edge of the arch eye brow) when compared to a +33 Boost. Therefore adding 30mm wheel spacers to the Boosts would make the wheel + spacer an +3 ET, close to 0 ET but with twice as many studs and threads to go wrong.

Additionally the +15 ET could potentially put less stress on the wheel bearings than the Boost and 30mm spacer. Although how much I couldn't say. Definitely less mud spray up the side than with the Boost/Spacer combo.

Sorry I realise I just hijacked the thread a bit. Whistle

I will start of with these i just got fitted on Saturday, they are 16" x 7" ET 15 and i have 265/75/16 AT KO2s fitted
Very Happy

They look great Thumbs Up

So +15 ET offset. IIRC the Boost alloy is a +33 ET. Correct me if I am wrong but does that mean that there is more tyre/rim inside the wheel arch and does that not give you less steering lock?!

I realise I may be confused here. I do like those rims though Thumbs Up[/quote]

That is correct with more tyre/rim inside the wheel arch and less lock Thumbs Up

The modular's i had on were ET 0 and hopefully the Blindo's will keep the sides of Millie cleaner Thumbs Up

I still have to adjust the stops as the tyre's are rubbing a tiny bit Very Happy 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. Keeper.

Which wheel nuts did you opt for Clayton? Keep meaning to order a set in black.

Hi Shroppy

I bought the black nuts from LRparts as they have good rep on here, i got the " heavy duty " ones as they don't have the covers to go on them, they don't come with the set of locking nuts, they are extra. I was going to buy a set of Wrington wheel nuts, but at the time they were out of stock Thumbs Up 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. Keeper.

After a few days driving with the Blindo's on, i have found that when turning the steering wheel the ET15 is far better than the modulars ET0 as the ET15's are more responsive Very Happy 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. Keeper.

Now I'm definitely saving up for a set of five!

Liking the look on blackwolf's truck, since mine is more or less the same looking, black Blindos will be the go. Anthracite, while it may more or less match the body color, would look too civilian! Laughing

Had mine for quite a while now, I need to give them a really good clean as I need a new set of tyres. That's on my springtime list of things to do.
