Today I replaced the transfer oil.
Everything went fine, very few metal dust attached to the drain plug magnet. Next week I will change the transmission oil. Is the drain plug also magnetic ? |

MY11 gearbox drain plug is magnetic - well it is on mine anyway. There was quite a mound of tiny metal shards stuck to it when I changed the oil a couple of weeks ago - like a little sculpture it was

I found this plug that I believe is the MT82 fill plug. Is the same type and size of the drain plug.
![]() Click image to enlarge The image was taken looking front to rear. Is this the right plug ? I read somewhere that the fill plug is different from the drain plug. Anyway, I flushed about 2.7 liters of oil, I'm now waiting your answer about the fill plug. |

Thanks for the information! I replaced both transmission and gear oil.
Next week I will install magnetic plugs in the front and rear diffs. |
