I had an AMC head (10p) around 8 / 9 years ago and still good as gold.

I like this comments but what do they tell us?

Land Rover put one an original one on mine in the factory in 2003 and it is still going fine.
So does this say Land Rover heads are better? Twisted Evil

Some Genuine heads failed by cracking, many did not. You are one of the lucky ones. For the people who replaced their heads with AMC the problem never came back at least i have not heard of any instances, perhaps you have.

No I didn't hear any bad stories, but that a part is still OK after 10 years doesn't say that much. No mileage mentioned and if did pull trailers etc. That was my point.
Mine is only at 110.000 Miles so just run in. Roel

I think you got my point.

Like I can say that bfg tires are very good I have one in use and traveled more then 100000 Miles and still looks almost new.
If I then say it is in use as a spare tire the story is still correct but a bit different. Twisted Evil Roel
