The engine hadn’t failed (it was running fine, albeit with a warning light) - more likely, JLR want it to strip down and inspect.

Dont waste 50 minutes of your life watching the drivel.

Basically they are going probably to get a 3rd one in Blue - the V6 with 20" wheels and 7 seat - no rear diff.

Wake me up when it’s finished please, that was way way too long just to say car no3 is coming from the west coast and it’s a P400 without most of the kit they want and a heap of kit on it that they don’t want....... Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!

The cynic in me thinks this is a setup. JLR have stepped in, bricked their first defender with a SOTA update and now they have the G wagon version! The last thing JLR want is loads of low margin, base spec D110’s being ordered in the US off the back of TFL’s videos. This is big corp controlling the media message. Paul

I was expecting to see a new winch in the back as well! They did well out of LR but it annoys me that LR wouldn’t treat anyone else like that. I am also disappointed that TFL have gone from a “basic spec to get it off-road prepared MOAB ready” story (which would have been great) to moving quickly & happily to the “we like the luxury” story instead (which doesn’t interest me). Umm.

Walking in to a JLR main dealer to hand over your hard earned cash must have new owners feeling a little like:
