Sorry Pom
105°C is the safety cut off. You can program how many minutes the heater stay on dro 1 to 120 You cannot decide the water temp. When the engine water arrive at 40 °C the heater switch on the internal fan (you must rotate the Defender temp handle to maximum so you open the 3 way valve in the right direction) and pre select the fan speed on 1 or 2 Discovery 5 td6 HSE Stornoway Gray Outback Engineering Limited Edition IID Pro MV License |

Yes it is not complicated, it is sufficient to install two thermostat one for give the "ON" impulse (less than 5°C like the Disco) and one for the "OFF" (65-75°C) and a selector for choose the "manual" and "automatic" modality. Before saturday I'll send to you the scheme (now I'm in Sicily for work)... but if you read from pages 20 of my document it is explained the "automatic" procedure (start automatically when you switch ON the car ignition if the external temp is below the -5°C and the engine water is below of 65°C it is necessary to install the thermostat 1 (circled) showed on pages 37. nice one thanks )
I have a tracker with SIM card ready to go that can also turn the heater on and off via txt. The idea being I wake up, txt the defender and its nice and toasty when I'm ready to leave. Pom |
