I hope the rear seats at least fold flat and level? I could put up with the big step if at least there are two flat areas - if the folded seats still slope at 30-odd degrees as shown in that comparison picture, that would be a massive fail! Where you gonna put the dog /dog crate? Etc.

Do they/ will they offer a commercial version like the Land Cruiser? That is, no back seats, just a secure loading space.

Yes, it's called the 'Hardtop'. There's a 110 version too, although it's a converted 5 door rather than a hardtop as we know it. Darren

Thanks. I managed to find some photos. I would prefer to have a 90 with seats in the back that fold flat properly and could also be removed easily to increase the load space when required. Are the rear seats removable in the standard 90?

I'd imagine so. I doubt that they're specifically designed to be removed by the user but it'll only be something like torx bolts that secure them, I'd expect. Darren

I love those 2-tone tan seats and trim as well, but it was exclusive to the megabucks Defender X trim when I ordered my 110. I reckon the same will be true for the 90, those photos being from the "version driven on-road", a Defender X 90. I almost ended up ordering an X because of those lovely seats - ultimately I went with a HSE which has great Windsor leather seats without funky fabric inserts, even though they can't be had in 2-tone unfortunately. 2020 NAS Defender 110 HSE 5-seater / Silver / Khaki / Black Pack / Black Roof / Satin Film / Cold Pack / Off-Road Pack / Advanced OR Pack / Comfort + Convenience Pack / Sirius + HD radio / HUD / Meridian Surround

The rear seats in the 90 do not fold anywhere near flat, indeed the one I viewed did not even have the clip down feature that the 110 has, although it may have been a pre-production model. They could have improved the 90 by having flip forward rear seat bases that you can find in other cars. Maybe they will improve the design in the future.

The 5 seater 110 has the lifting seat bases and fold down middle row seat backs, somewhat surprised that the 90 hasn’t (yet) got that too as it would go part of the way to making up for that silly step in the boot floor. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come

Yep, this is the photo I was referring to.
Would be good to know from someone who has had a play with the 90 SW if the rear seats will lie/clip down flat (either with the seat base tipped or not).
I really hope that's not as flat as they get.

The cars doing the dealership tour here were prototype vehicles so not in final fit out trim. That’s how the seats were on the one I viewed, I didn’t want to break their only 90 so didn’t push down on them, but they did look like they would push down.

Certainly on LRs press photos they go a bit more level

The 7 seater 2nd row backs push down and lock in place. So presumably the 90 ones will do the same. 130's have feeling's as well you know Smile
