Evening all!
I've just received my new Provent 200 from LRA. I've had a quick gander at mounting options but just thought I'd ask here to see if anyone has mounted one to a Td5 defender and if so, how/where did you mount it? I think the N/S wing support bracket looks like a good option as there is plenty of room and the pipe run would be very straightforward. I assume that to work correctly it needs to be level in both planes? Any experiences/thoughts greatly received ![]() 1990 Vogue SE Triumph Tiger Explorer 1200 Td5 90 Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic50767.html Tdi 110 Thread https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic69562.html RRC Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic54492.html Instagram http://www.instagram.com/george_grafton |

Mine is mounted to a bracket on the heater box:

I'm hoping for a cleaner intake tract from turbo compressor onwards

Collects a surprising amount of oil. My intercooler and intake had quite a film of oil before i fitted the Provent. Since fitting it (12k ago) my intake has stayed clean so makes a big difference to this.
I never bothered connecting mine back into the sump, i just drain it out periodically. Steve 02' 110 TD5 Double Cab Rebuild Thread |

If you see what comes out you won't want to put it back in your sump.

Perfect, thank you guys! I'm definitely liking the wing brace mounting option. I'll have a look at doing that later

Just to wrap up the thread I've modified my wing stay bracket to accommodate the Provent. Just need to get some pipe ordered and it's another job done

I don't believe there is. Having said that you could fit one with very basic tools if needed
