Wow, last update 29th July Shocked

The reason for lack of updates has been lack of news! A few days after the trip to Oxford, the Range Rover ran out of MOT. Its been so busy this year that I didn't get the time to put an MOT on it.

Only now things have quietened down I've had a chance. So today it went in to my local MOT testing station....

And passed with no advisories Cool

Also my Christmas present this year is a new radio for the Range Rover. I went for a Blaupunkt Bremen SQR 46 DAB. I chose it for the modern functionality with subtle, period correct looks (who knows, if I really like it I might buy one for the 110 as well Whistle) . I've seen the box but won't be unwrapping it until Christmas day Laughing

Another update for project Range Rover!

Today I ventured offroad in it for the first time since the rebuild. A day on Salisbury plain. Never missed a beat all day Cool I was initially concerned that the front spoiler might be too low and catch when in deep ruts but it didn't catch once!

We were in a convoy of 3. A 101FC my RRC and another soft dash RRC - unfortunately the soft dash broke down a couple of miles into the plain so we had to tow him back to the main road to be recovered (complete lack of spark, ignition amp suspected)

Annoyingly we discovered afterwards that if we hadn't towed the broken RRC to the road the company would have sent a unimog to recover it, that would have been great to see - doh!

From then on it was just me and the 101.

It was a great day out and the first time I've been anywhere in weeks so it made it extremely enjoyable.

Back home now and I probably have a couple of days worth of cleaning to get the Range Rover back up to scratch! Because I didn't get out of my Range Rover the inside stayed clean. The outside, however, is a different story Shocked

Anyway, enough waffle, here are some pictures Thumbs Up

Nice photos; looked like a good day out.
Although at this time of year all of our cars look dirtier that on any given day. There is as much clay on the b roads as there is on the Plain! WARNING.

Its funny as I was thinking how comfortable the RR was off-road compared to the 110. Compared to the 101 its a completely different planet! It just highlights, though, that it doesn't matter what vehicle you have, you can get out and about and have a great day together Thumbs Up 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon
