Which starter motor?
To cut a long story short... I need a new starter motor for my TD5.

Question is which brand is best or most recommended?

Have looked at denso, bearmach, hella, allmakes 4x4 etc. But what do people think?

Kind of need to get it ordered ASAP Shocked

Thanks Thumbs Up

Do you definitely need a new starter motor?

The motor doesn't fail all that often, more likely to be the solenoid contacts. These are easy to fit yourself.

If it doesn't work solenoid contacts as said.

If it turns slow, take it apart and clean the gearbox and pack with new grease. Sounds starnge but that will make a lot off difference. Roel

What are the symptoms?
New solenoid contacts as has been said.
Worst bit is the PITA bolt....
