Very nice looking job. I’m fortunate in mine is bolted on and in satin black. So I removed and it gave me a chance to clean and wax the body behind the plate, and do all the prep and spraying in the garage. Plus satin is a more forgiving finish and I did not need a clear coat.
P.S good job on the clear coat, avoiding eggshell is hard and you can’t really use a da polisher on chequer plate to correct. |

Yeah lacquering is something I've tried to get right for years now with trial and error, I've found applying it medium heavy best, trying to get to the point just before it would run and it dries nice and glossy
