[Wanted] Genuine folding side steps please. ( STC7631) ?
Hi.

In process of replacing bits on the Defender and need a couple of side steps if anybody has some please. The set I have are very rusty and the rubber is starting to perish. Brand new is a little too pricey!

Folding steps ...
Yup, I bought some and never fitted them. I’m trying to make space so would be glad to move then on at 1/2 price, still in boxes. I’ll go count them, think I bought four. xxxxx xxxxxx

Thanks Jas but really wanted the LR emblem on it. Does anyone else’s have any sitting on a shelf gathering dust?

I bought four Genuine steps back in 2018.

Had to search around for them then.

Are they still available?

I have found some in the Duckworth site I think. Rimmer Bros appear to do them as well but both are very expensive

Whilst I do appreciate the LR logo on the rubber treads, in my experience the quality of OE steps is no better or worse than aftermarket alternatives that are a fraction of the cost.

Having faffed around having OE steps stripped and re-powder coated in the past, I've recently fitted a set of Britpart ones to my 110. I have, however, replaced all of the hardware with stainless equivalents and coated the whole lot with a clear Dinitrol to preserve them. More details here:
