Which UJs?
OK, so this maybe a matter of preference, but I am looking to replace both the front and rear propshaft UJs but I am baffled by the range of prices.

On Brit Cars the Bearmach ones are only £7 whereas the GKN Bearmach ones are £25. I can also find GKN for £15 by other Brands.

So, does anyone have any recommendations? Happy to pay the extra if worth but higher price doesn't always mean higher quality.

GKN ones for me. I get my UJ’s from Bailey Morris who make props. They now their stuff, but don’t know if they are currently working. Certainly don’t go cheap

There are different grades of GKN ones. The heavier duty ones having longer needle rollers. I don’t know how you go about ensuring the heavier duty ones are the ones you get though. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

I love Gwyns shop and his parts but his prices are outrageous for the UJs.
Gotts get me the same GKN ones for a quarter of the price... just rebuilt a pair of Gwyn props for peanuts. Insta: @thebenjordan4x4

With UJs you'll very much get what you pay for. Remember that GKN will make a UJ to whatever spec the supplier specifys.
Genuine are very good UJs.
I'm intrigued by the Volvo recommendation, is there a part number ?

Hmm, there'll be a reason for this, I wonder what it could be? Laughing

Always GKN for me, with the largest journals available. I usually buy from Dingocroft in Wycombe, their website makes it easy to get the right ones. I'd have no hesitation buying from Gwyn Lewis either, and since I now run his custom propshafts with oversized ujs will be if they ever need replacing.

A cheap uj is a false economy imo.

When I had my 90 I fitted new quality UJ’s and bought a spares, this obviously coast a fortune.

I managed thousands and thousands of Miles with these, daily drive, off roading every week, even dune bashing. I never needed to fit the replacements. I think that says it all.

I think the ones from Gwyn Lewis are looking like a good option.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

My mistake, I just checked the box, the Volvo U-joints are GMB not GKN. Sorry for any confusion but since it was asked I do use them and they are very good, the two grease nipples are much easier for lubing with no less strength to the unit. Part number is GMB 220-1100 2010 Range Rover MkIII Autobiography Super Charged (Idris)
