Tried that, I replaced the OEM tyres with BFG AT, no change. They swapped those ones out with the alloys from a brand new Puma with the new Wrangler(?) tyres, same thing. -- 2010 Defender Puma 90 + BAS remap + Alive IC + Slickshift + Ashcroft ATB rear 2015 Range Rover Sport V8 Supercharged ![]() ![]() Defender Puma Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zZ1en9 Discovery 4 Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zXrtKO Range Rover/Sport L320/L322/L494 Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zc58JQ |

Yet another update on the issue from LRSA:
"I have been in contact with Max, our Regional Technical Manager and he has advised that after the front axle was replaced the vehicle still pulled to the left. He further advised that he has now requested the dealer to swop the steering box. Rodney has advised that they are currently busy with this and will revert back to JLRSA once they have tested the vehicle." At this rate I will have a brand new vehicle bit by bit... ![]() 2010 Defender Puma 90 + BAS remap + Alive IC + Slickshift + Ashcroft ATB rear 2015 Range Rover Sport V8 Supercharged ![]() ![]() Defender Puma Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zZ1en9 Discovery 4 Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zXrtKO Range Rover/Sport L320/L322/L494 Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zc58JQ |

Gents,
Yesterday I went to meet the Regional Technical Manager at the dealership for a test drive after they replaced the front axle & steering box. I cannot believe it, but I think this is it! Orxy now drives in a straight line and one can actually take one's hands off the steering wheel without ending up in the scenery. There is the slightest residual drift, probably due to the tyres wearing unevenly for 20Kkm, but at least it doesn't feel like a fairy is tugging at the steering wheel any more. I must say, the RTM is a very thorough chap, he even noticed some brake fade and told the workshop to fix that and to also replace the EGR and look into the excessive backlash. We should be getting it back next week, I can't wait to get rid of that POS FL2 and get back into a real landy ![]() On a side-note, he mentioned that LRSA is trying to get LRUK to drop the DPF from the MY12 Defenders coming to SA. -- 2010 Defender Puma 90 + BAS remap + Alive IC + Slickshift + Ashcroft ATB rear 2015 Range Rover Sport V8 Supercharged ![]() ![]() Defender Puma Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zZ1en9 Discovery 4 Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zXrtKO Range Rover/Sport L320/L322/L494 Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zc58JQ |

I would have thought that a certainty, considering 500ppm diesel will kill a DPF. |

He said the most issues LRSA has is with the DPF in the Jag 2.2D - most of the owners are doctors who don't drive far and the thing gets clogged very quickly. The FL2 has a DPF and so does the facelift Disco3/2/RR/RRS, etc. As long as you stick to 50ppm and give it horns once every week it should be fine. -- 2010 Defender Puma 90 + BAS remap + Alive IC + Slickshift + Ashcroft ATB rear 2015 Range Rover Sport V8 Supercharged ![]() ![]() Defender Puma Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zZ1en9 Discovery 4 Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zXrtKO Range Rover/Sport L320/L322/L494 Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zc58JQ |

Glad to hear that your issues have finally been resolved. Bit of the Sherlock Holmes thing here, i.e. "When you have eliminated etc. etc". Maybe you should get the vehicle to drift to the opposite side for for 20,000 kms just to make sure that both your arms are equally developed? By the sound of things your right arm must be as well muscled as that of a gorilla.Nice to find someone from Land Rover who has an interest in getting faults sorted. Seems to be a rare member of the species. Once again glad you are finally sorted. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel
