2016 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 Landmark LE Montalcino Red

I have just had a bit of drama with this myself on my TD5 i changed the key fob battery thinking it would improve the range but found it did not work at all and the Defender would not start.
Out with the hand book and somebody had written an EKA code in it so I set about following the bizarre procedure outlined in the hand book but still no success.
Anyway out with the Nanocom I had purchased in last years group purchase, I then discovered it was showing a different EKA code to my handbook so I assume my Defender had been fitted with a replacement ECU at some stage and not recorded.
The newly found EKA was used and normal service resumed.
I thought twice about purchasing the Nanocom because of the cost but it saved the day for me.
My key fob range is still rubbish so plan to follow the mod in this topic. 2016 Defender Landmark 90

Done this last year and makes huge difference .Top tip is put new batteries in the fobs at the same time as you may think it makes no difference
