Tub Cappings?
I’m planning to replace the tub cappings on my 90 station wagon. What are the views on what to replace with? I’m thinking genuine, and possibly galvanised. SP 4x4 do galvanised version.

If you're going to go to all the trouble of replacing them then definitely do it with galvanised ones. Darren

I have a set i bought by mistake for the station wagon, when I have a van back on my 90, ans the cappings are different. In really good condition ready for paint.

I've got a set I bought to fit onto my 90 as originals were rusting badly, however never got round to fitting them before I sold it . They're now in my garage, waiting to be advertised/sold and no use for me on my replacement 110! Best bit is I'm just 20 minutes down the road from you if you want to drop by for a look at them? Also have the replacement seals (think the lower ones only) to go with them.

They're genuine landrover parts glavanised by Ashtree (whom I bought them from)

Interested in these, are they definitely station wagon cappings?

What is the difference between the cappings?

Mine was a pick-up and is now a hard top. The cappings from a pick-up are galvanised and then painted. Roel

I think factory SWs all have bulkhead removal bars behind the front seats, so there’s no bulkhead for capping to connect to, which means a slight different design at front end.

I think all cappings were galvanised to a point in time, now all are painted only.
