Finally given some time to the wire mess: weird behavior
Hi guys!

After several years to see the cable mess inside the battery box I "took the bull by the horns" and start to clean it and put all in order.

Still working in progress the change is notable.

A picture showing the setup.

A new earth poit at the left, then the fuse box down, a distributor with all the cables and finally the relays for the roof main ligths, the rear roof ligth and some side ligths under the awning.

Still several wires missing but looks a way better than previous.

Cheers! Eduardo

Working done but...
Hey guys!
Finally today I finish the main part of the installation but still I have a weird problem.

This is the main installation done

The main problem is when I connect the (+) fuse of the Ham radio (TYT TH 9800) with the car key out, the instrument panel ligths up (similar when you turn the key to II). All other fuses are out and the Motorhome not connected.

So, I isolate the Radio and found something that not convince me.
With the system isolated, the Ham radio start inmediately showing 13.4 V in the battery and operates correctly. but, with the radio off, I read a voltage of ~9V in the negative (as show in the next diagram)

Is that normal? or something is wrong with the radio?

Probably this 9V are spread trough the earth point to the fridge/MH battery relays and then to the live with ignition cable feeding all the defender circuit as shown in the figure.

If I put the Ham radio earth directly to the battery the problem dissapear but Im not sure if I´m drawing current from the battery.

Any thoughts?
