2.5TD 19j oil grade. Supply and help
Hi All
2.5 TD 19j on 1987 year.
Currently running with Semi Synthetic Castrol GTX 15w40.

Have difficulty in finding said oil make a grade now.

Q1. Is this the correct grade and type.
Q2. Can any one recommend another brand in the right grade type.

Thanks in advance

buy cheap semi synthetic, 15w/40 and change every 5k miles.

Impossible to wrong as i'm sure those engine would run happily on anything.

something like this, cheap and cheerful

just my opinion and is what I do. The key is changing often as higher quality and priced oil from my understanding resists oxidation and heat more and for longer whilst retaining adequate cleaning and lubrication, which is irrelevant when you change the oil much more frequently than required.
