Avoid the school holiday season. NC500 route wonderful scenery but spoilt by amount of traffic.

Hello,
Speak to Ian at Highland all terrain- he can organise trips on some stunning estates with moderate offroad. Perfect for a standard vehicle. Regards Chris |

Watching this keenly.
Am planning a little jaunt around the NC500 in a couple of weeks time. A bit of chilly wild camping in an artic sleeping bag on the roof tent and a couple of AirBnb/hostel scenarios. |

I think it's going to be anticlock. Friend coming over tomorrow for us to draw up all the things we want to divert to see on the way. Mostly going to be on the roof tent with a couple of Air BnB or hostel jobbies. Potentially a bothy for a night too. Planning on 2 nights at the top tip just in case we get a clear sky... |

So excited.
We pack the vehicle tomorrow and leave on Sat early AM. First trip Basingstoke - Loch Lomond and work around from there, 8 days, 1 return travel stop off at Lake Windermere on the way back. So much stuff planned and GPSed to go and see and hopefully we end up getting to those Bothys too. Some nights we are planning either roof tent or bothy depending on what happens. Many pics and a video to come. |
