2016 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 XS CSW Keswick Green

So, thats the end of the Outback Way. All tarmac now and into Kalgoorlie and then Coolgardie and the good roads into Perth. For some hours there are two big diameter white pipelines at the side of the road, down which all the water for these two towns is pumped. Mining dominates the area with large mines, support vehicles and towns full of mine workers and their families.

We saw more Defenders from Alice onwards than before Alice ( total was zero !) and even passed another 110 going in the opposite direction outside Laverton. Yes we both waved

As you get closer to Perth everything gets much greener, farm lands abound. Much less road kill and its all pretty civilised. Long straight roads then into the big city and across the Swan River to our hotel. A welcome bit of luxury !
