Mazda RX8 seats are a popular swap, practicality wise though, very few seats from other vehicles have removable bases. If you ever need to get to the battery or under seat fuses then it's a seat out job.
I do seem to recall on the forum a while ago, somebody mentioned there were seats out of a Mercedes cabriolet that have removable bases. I can't remember which model though. For a £300 budget, what about refurbishing your current seats with new foams and covers? You could add heating elements whilst you were there too ![]() 1990 Vogue SE Triumph Tiger Explorer 1200 Td5 90 Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic50767.html Tdi 110 Thread https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic69562.html RRC Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic54492.html Instagram http://www.instagram.com/george_grafton |

Not heard about the Mercedes option,, will do a bit more research.
I am quite happy with the standard (old style) seat, but the boss would like something a bit more supportive. Problem is I am 6’2” and she is 5’4”, so finding a seat that supports her and I can fit in is a problem. 80" 1948 Lightweight V8 Bowler Tomcat 130 Station wagon 90 300tdi (Santana PS10 pick up) Range Rover L322 (Ful fat) |

Me and the Mrs are the same heights as you Pilgrimmick, Buggsy (110) has puma heated seats and she is fine in those, Jasmin (wolf) has standard seats and she struggles to see, the solution was getting a sheepskin seat cover, my mate got me a fancy one from the isle of sky and it’s lovely, keeps you warm in the winter but gives her that little boost to be able to see without forcing my head against the roof.
If you can find a second hand set of puma seats for a legitimate cheap price I would recommend them ![]() 90 V8 - Maggie http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic42564.html 110 TD5 - Buggsy http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic59029.html 52HG25 lightweight https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic72342.html D3 Hse - Fiona Capri 2l S - Anna Think I might have a problem............ |

Puma seats at a reasonable price? You should be on stage😂
You are right though, just like the proverbial hens teeth. Has anyone fitted a BMW Mini Cooper seat, or knows if they would fit? 80" 1948 Lightweight V8 Bowler Tomcat 130 Station wagon 90 300tdi (Santana PS10 pick up) Range Rover L322 (Ful fat) |

You could always buy knackered ones and refurb them and add heaters
![]() With puma seats you also have the option of converting them to the premium sport seats ![]() 1990 Vogue SE Triumph Tiger Explorer 1200 Td5 90 Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic50767.html Tdi 110 Thread https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic69562.html RRC Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic54492.html Instagram http://www.instagram.com/george_grafton |
