IIRC Range Rover had lower power output due to restrictions in inlet manifolds.

Sdi was the engine to use in your Series + Range Rover diffs because of higher power. Just because you're offended doesn't mean you're right.

Given that the V8 block has the same external dimensions throughout its production. If a gearbox fits one of them it will fit all of them. It is not a Defender, it is a One_Ten

Sd1 v8 was 9.35 :1

Range Rover was originally 8.13:1 on carbs, until it became efi in 85, then it became the same 9.35:1 it remained at that until the end of production in the P38

The water pump and front covers are different, Range Rovers being up higher so the fan was in the middle of the Radiator.

The only ones that had 10.7:1 were fitted in the Rover P5B Coupe.

All the Best.

The compression ratio in the 4.2 in the Range Rover classic was 8.94 It is not a Defender, it is a One_Ten
