United Kingdom 2004 Defender 90 2.5 TD HT Cairns Blue
What sized battery
As I said in previous post, I’m a bloke and don’t do choices, I like shopping to be simple and straightforward.

I have a Defender 2004 90 TD5, the battery is a little long in the tooth, so I decided last year to replace and it’s taken me this long to get around to doing it.

This is the frustrating bit, I have used a number of Epart supplier online and they literally all quote different spec batteries for my reg, tried 2 different local motor factor places and again different spec batteries!!! My current battery looks like an unbranded commercial battery, so no real clues there.

If possible could somebody tell my the correct battery for a 2004 TD5 90, either what LR spec or what works best. There are other threads here on battery makes but most I think are for Pumas plus not really on that is the right battery spec is as the replies are all different specs I think. I normally use Bosch batteries but I’m starting to leads towards Tayna but happy for another current train of thought recommendation.

2011 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 USW Stornoway Grey
For single battery I would use https://www.tayna.co.uk/leisure-batteries/numax/cxv30hmf/ good mcca, excellent durability and good value. I run these for single battery options or 2 x 27s for twin battery setups in several less, tri, Tgvs, td5 and puma for last 12 years or so. Cheers
