United Kingdom 2007 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 HT Santorini Black
Stuck injector
I know this has been discussed before but, I've got to change the injector seals on my 2.4, 3 of the injectors came out with a gentle wiggle and a pull from a slide hammer. No3 is refusing to budge, 6 hours today and all I have managed to do, is get the injector to rotate anti clockwise as the nozzle collect is stuck in the head and the two parts are unscrewing.

On older diesels you could disconnect the diesel feed, loosen the retaining clamp and blip the engine on the starter. However I’m not sure if the puma would be okay to do this, I assume there should be a dedicated puller/slide hammer as like the TD5.

Sorry not much help, you could try bolting it all together and running it up to temp and then try removal. 90 wolf - Jasmin http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic39408.html
