Mine’s the same. Loves the footwell. Gets in the car easier than the wife. Rolling with laughter

My Spaniel in his "dog-palace", as my wife likes to call it when she heard how much it cost ...

With the amount of badger / fox and deer poo he manages to coat himself with there's no chance he's going anywhere near the seats. He's too close to my nose even in his crate in the boot. Maybe I should put him in the trailer ....

He's washed as soon as he gets home with a neutralising shampoo - it's just touch and go as to whether I can get him home without barfing - generally with windows open and head out in the fresh air.

He tends to be nicknamed "Reek" on those journeys.

You should have bought the DCPU. Laughing

Nice crate by the way.

Not sure of the legalities of having any dog, never mind a large dog, loose in a car. Does it count as a passenger and so need a seat belt, or an unsecured load?

DCPU would have been ideal TBH but at the time thought a SW would be more family-friendly.

I'm not clear on the legalities of dogs loose in the passenger area - i've always preferred everything tied-down, in a crate or behind a luggage net after a colleague came close to death when he rolled his Sierra estate (yes, that long ago) with a boot full of tool boxes which proceeded to find their own way out of the car via the back seat, passenger seat, dashboard and windscreen.

Apparently TransK9 dog crates are crash tested and mine is ratchet-strap secured to the load bed so at least dog won't be ejected in a similar way.

Nice bed for Ridgeback on tour, made it awkward for us to get in the roof some times mind. Couldnt leave him behind when we were off travelling, this was in Albania earlier this year.

I am so very sorry, mick.

It’s a rubbish job and one of the down sides of owning a dog.

I hope you have great memories Sad
