Is there a Free check for Second hand cars
Hello

Looking a buying a car (Not Landrover) and checked on DVLA for mot history & recalls.

Is there anyway of checking if its had an accident for free?

I've come up against various paid for reports ?

Thanks

Apparently there's a way to do it on AutoTrader, but it's a bit of a faff.

You "list for sale" using the car in question's registration, their automatically generated advert flags up and inserts if any insurance claim categories. I've never done it just heard about it.

MyCarCheck for £1.99 isn't a bad alternative for a basic check!

Hello Stacey007

I used a free service by the AA (who used Experian) in 2013 to check my 90 out... but would have paid my <£20
to get a level of reassurance.

This looks to have been dropped now and replaced by a paid service to various levels.

Looking back at the 'report' I obtained I was amazed at the 26 levels of data held and tapped into by the AA
VOSA, DVLA, Combined Insurance Companies, HPI Companies... even number of previous owners if / when it had
had a number plate change, it looked to be all there or more importantly in some areas not there.

Pay your money if in doubt... Thumbs Up SKIP
