Cooper Tyre height 265/70-R16
Searching for 5 new tyres for my 110 station, Cooper ST Maxx 265/75-R16 but i can't find them in Holland or Belgium, no company has them in stock at the moment. Size 265/70-R16 is available, i have searched in all topics on the forum and i know now that the speedo will not be accurate anymore (i don't mind) but can i expect other problems with a tyre height 70 ?
Size 285/75-16 is available and also 235/75-16 but the 265's are just right for me ........

Thx for your help, Duct tape is The Force; is has a light side, a dark side and it holds the universe together.

I think I've been beaten to it now but...

Personally I think 265/70R16 will look too small on a 110. If you really can't find 265/75R16 then I would stick with 235/85R16 which has the same diameter. James

remember that the sidewall "height" is a % of the width and not an actual measurement so comparing different width tyres with the same aspect ratio are totally different

The 'problem' is that i have been reading / searching / comparing tyres for 2 weeks now and had finally decided to go for the Coopers because the reviews & looks are ok but now they are not available Crying or Very sad
I found below 2 pics, my choice was also based on these ...... it was between the STT's or the ST Maxx

I think i will go for the Cooper STT Pro now, these are available in 265/75-16 and i like them very much on a 110; Duct tape is The Force; is has a light side, a dark side and it holds the universe together.

68mph each tyre x4 ........ Very Happy

then the STT's are no option for me; on my TD5 G4 i had Hankook Dynapro MT tyres in 285/75-16, very good also in rain and
not too much noise at higher speed..... will probably take these again or BFG, the search will continue Duct tape is The Force; is has a light side, a dark side and it holds the universe together.

I used to run the maxx’s on my 90, a nice tyre by all accounts - though they did replace simmex extreme’s which were far too overkill for me. I’d be torn between the STT’s and Maxx’s come replacement time for my BF AT’s. Don’t envy your decision!!

Decision is made: Cooper STT Pro 265/75-16 on Modulars ..... wheels are in the paintshop at the moment and will be painted Keswick green, like the 110. Will post pics as soon as they are fitted. Duct tape is The Force; is has a light side, a dark side and it holds the universe together.

Given that many of the above tyres are only 68mph rated, driving at 70mph on the motorway therefore leaves you on a sticky wicket from an insurance perspective does it not???

Why are they being painted with the valve stems in situ?
