Miles
A random milestone yesterday, 184k in the pick up. I had to go down to Malmesbury to replace an integrated fridge in a flat we have down there. It was the second trip down to do it, someone had ordered the wrong one first time out, then yesterday the wrong one was delivered. Rather than blow a gasket I decided on a trip to Currys in Chippenham, where I picked one up no problem. Job done. I also fixed the front right indicator - water had got into the connector, so a wipe and squirt with AC50 did the job.

Got 322,000 miles from a 300Tdi without any particular problems. Reduced oil change interval to 5000 miles after 100,000 miles to keep the sums easy.
It is still out there somewhere, earning its keep.

330k is a good effort. To be fair mine is trigger’s broom. It just needs a new turbo and steering box and I could register it in 2019 Laughing

My 90's is on 18k miles on a P plate, Mind you it was rolled into a ball at 18mths old. I bought it as an unfinished project 2 yrs ago with galvanised chassis/ Stainless exhaust/ new rear tub and front end. Many miles to do over the next few decades.

Rolled over to 367k on Friday.

Keep changing the oil every 6,000 miles and look after it and it will go on practically for ever.

I don’t know if I’ll get to that sort of mileage, circa 18 years at the current rate, I’ll be 63 and no doubt by that time diesel for road use will be on a par with drink driving!

Mines a boring looking farm spec, with the addition of heated seats and electric windows, I can’t abide the window winder rubbing against my leg!

Needs a bit of tlc, the paint job isn’t great and starting to flake. I’d like to make it a soft top and paint it to match the 110, just for fun, but there is something quite honest about it as it is.
