Stolen - Green Defender Puma 2.4
Morning all,

Just posting to save anyone a buying mistake - my Defender was stolen from Bures in Essex yesterday. It’s an XS CSW in green, with all the chequer plate powder-coated black.

Good weekend

Thanks all. Turns out my image-posting was constrained by a lack of talent.

Totally standard 5-seat XS, Pioneer stereo, caravan electrics and a nasty nasty dent on the rear three-quarter panel under the fuel filler.

Please would you share how they did that to help the rest of us prevent it?

Hi Merlin. I don't have any details yet - I left it at the station to head to work, and when I came back the next day, there it wasn't... I didn't have extra security, and it certainly seems not to have put much of a fight up...

Sadly with no extra security they are child's play to steal. Shocking for a recent vehicle.

If you get it back or replace it with another, this forum can provide good advice about how to make it less easy to steal.

sorry to hear this pal, They got me at the beginning of the year. You really need to increase security like hell on these now, they got around my disklok, which was the thing to have years ago, But now they have been over come sadly.
If you do get this back, fit a removerable boss to the car, this was one of my plans last year, but with things turning the way it did. ( MOT and Xmas) really blew out my savings. So it was on my ready to buy list in the new year, but it was too late for me sadly. Its been checked out i bet money on that, and they came back for it. I saw another Defender in my local supermarket with out anything on either. I was hoping to see the owner of it, but he must have gone in as i was going out sadly. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back
