Oslo, this weakness does not specifically relate to the Optimill swivel, it applies to any steering lock by disconnecting the steering column/steering box from the steering arms by simply undoing a single nut at the front underside of the vehicle and steering the vehicle manually using the road wheels

I am not a vehicle thief, but do have a basic mechanical knowledge which is all these people need to conjure workarounds > 110 XS Double Cab

There is of course a 30 second operation that will get around both the handbrake and it being left in gear and which won't set off the alarm and doesn't require access into the vehicle.

I can't say what it is though in case the one tealeaf who doesn't already know reads this!

Oh, yes. A good quality local authority grade wheel clamp is still a very effective deterrent (and also useful if you need to park illegally)!
