Can those with one comment on the update speeds. I've heard various systems (not necessarily this setup) can be slow to update?

As the video shows, the update speed to the human eye is real time.

You're right, a lot of the Chinese readers are very slow and are no good in realtime, however, this runs at 62 PIDs/second to Android which is fast enough for any number of displays you can look at at any one time. It's also why it's not 10 like the Chinese ones.

For some reason, I couldn't connect to mine last night, so will need to see what's going on at the weekend.

I can just about see where it's hidden and the light is on, but I can't connect to it. It may have worked loose. I'll report back once I've got to it. Craig Rogers

If you look at the bottom of the following webpage, you see the apps that work.

Don't think the Torque app is available on a Windows Phone, but there are other similar Apps.

Not used them, but expect them to be of a similar quality as it's the reader that's doing the hard work.

EDIT: Hmmm, looking at that webpage, it doesn't show any Windows Mobile Apps????? Craig Rogers

I'm struggling as it mentions:

Symbian Smart Phones (Nokia, Samsung, LG, Sony-Ericsson)
Recommended App:
◦OBDScope

I'm thinking this is out of date now and Nokia use a version of Windows now - but I'm not certain Confused

Not really sure what was wrong but I had the battery disconnected today as I was tidying the cabling to my extra fuse box. It's all working again, so it just needed a reset. I'll see what happens again. Hope it doesn't do this too often as its not easy to reset where I've hidden it. Craig Rogers

Pop down the cover underneath the steering wheel and it's along side the fusebox. If you need to leave the reader plugged in all the time (I do and the power save stops the battery going flat) then you will need to remove the screw holding the socket in place and then move it somewhere else. If not, you can't close the cover. Craig Rogers

Averaged at around 16mpg, so think it might be under-calculating. Of course, this time of the year, it might not be too far from the truth on a short run like that. I might have to do a manual calculation.

If you've only just used it, I doubt you've filled up with fuel yet. The other systems I know of need to be callibrated with a full tank a few times before they read accurately. On Scangauge II it's called "Fillup". You also have to do it when you change maps. Thumbs Up Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing...

I should of reported back on this. After a firmware upgrade on my S4, it just started working properly. This was only after using it twice. Same journey reporting high 20s. As you say, a few fillups later, it's even more settled. Craig Rogers

Just bought one of these and installed it on mine. I'm using a Huawei Mediapad 7" mag-mounted to the windscreen just above the clock to display info. I'm really impressed tbh, especially with the OBDLink app. On start up it recognised my VIN and vehicle manufacturer (not the model mind) and I've customised the 'dashboard' to show the info I want. Going to test it on the road trip to Devon next week but so far I'm really impressed.

I also bought a OBD cable extender which (with a bit of persuasion) allowed me to close the fuse cover with no port relocation or mods. The device is velcro sticky located up behind the centre console just above air blowers for footwell.

Refresh rates are very fast with no perceptible lag on info being displayed. Well worth the 50 or so quid I paid for it.

BTW I had first bought a Carista device which I couldn't get to work Rolling Eyes - now on its way back. -------------------------------
