2007 Specialized FSR XC Pro advice please
Hi I’ve owned my 2007 Specialized FSR XC pro (size Medium )from new (12th January 2008) and have made a decision to move it on but I have no clue if it has any value or not, I know a lot of you are in to mountain biking and would really appreciate some advice please, it’s in overall very good condition and the only things I’ve replaced are the wheel rims and the bottom crank the rear wheel requires replacing as the hub bearing has failed but there are a spare set of rims ( rear with cassette and avid disc already fitted ) it’s a 27 speed , I have the original receipt and all the book pack, it’s fitted with Town and Country tires with slime inner tubes as I was using this to commute to work.personally I think it is in very nice condition and with it being 11 years old I hope this shows that it has been well cared for as can be seen i paid £970 for it

Nice bike.

I’ve been looking for a new (old) MTB - would have made you an offer but it’s too small for me. Prices for similar seem to range from £200-£400 depending on condition.

I’m looking for a lighter 26” XC style as all MTB’s seem to have gone 650b or 29” and full on chunky 😕 . As I’ve got older I’ve lost my bottle on the gnarly stuff so just need something that’s not going to waste me on the uphills Laughing 2012 110 XS SW Orkney Grey

Hi DG123 Thank you for the heads up re price guide Thumbs Up , I have bought myself a new Specialized Camber comp 29er in Dec 2018 and love it so much so that this one is not being used now, shame about the size, I’m not in to the really gnarley stuff as I had 4 op’s on my shoulder in August last year but have recovered 100% and have been really enjoying the Evans ride it events and I live a few hundred yards from the ridgeway so use that a fair bit as well. I hope you find what you’re looking for Thumbs Up cheers Paul

Good luck with your sale, you’ve done a remarkable job of keeping it so well maintained given it’s age. Someone’s going to get a bargain, second hand sales have taken a ruthless hit in the past few years due to tech advancements. I’ve been harping on about 31” wheels for years, jokingly I’ll add - doesn’t sound so far fetched these days mind!!

Hi zippo87 thank you although I do have to say it was helped by the quality of the bike as well, after reading reviews at the time it was made very clear that the 2007 year model was the one to go for as the 2008 had from memory different front shocks and brakes it took a bit of phoning around but I found this one at Cycleopedia in Watford it was their last one as well, haha 31” wheels I bet you’re not far off you know Thumbs Up cheers Paul

Great looking bike in cracking condition for it's age! If I were closer I might be tempted to make you a cheeky offer, but I'm going to resist.

Out of interest what height person would this suit? James

Barney, long time no talk Thumbs Up

Lovely keep bike mate, I brought new and still have my 2007 stumpjumper, the bikes changed considerably in 2008, I was alway glad I brought a 2007 and not held out for the 2008 as the build quality’s was reportedly dropped on the 2008 model.

Good luck with the sale. Just can’t own a 7th bike Mr. Green

Thumbs Up
