Check out my post from the 1 of march 2018...

Its there.

http://trackspecmotorsports.com/universal/small-center-louver

I have a similar louver kit on my race car from Pratt and miller, so i brought the coolin to my defender. I am not going to stick a tire on my bonnet, so i might as well make it functional and let the heat out for more power...

Latest update

I have been lookin for the holy grail of HVAC that will give me heater and aircon. I bought all the wrong parts till i found www.hvac-aircon.com. They have the best Hvac unit that blows the most air, and a controller that gives me heater and aircon control like new modern cars...I am just waitin on the parts to arrive and i will post new pix of my new dash

Aircon sounds good. Especially in your climates.

How was the visit from Jose? I hear he was very impressed with your work on the truck.

Jose left happily, but we were left disappointed with injector failure. Mine didnt work from the start and though he was happy to work on others vehicles he didnt leave satisfied with mine tuned and ready. I gave him two ecus to trip out for me, one for my 10p engine, and the other NNN to hold two maps, a smokeless map and powerful map.

Defenders are very personal, but yes, he was very happy to see mine was done in a proper manner.

I am waitin on the aircon before i start my tunes again, for last time when it was 47c outside, i almost didnt make it home. I was too hot inside. my girl took it like a champ though, ect was normal, and power was constant...

Its 43C outside, and in the front seats, its bearable, i have the aircon at max fan and cold, so its a win in my books.

My turbo is only givin me 13.9psi at full load, so we have to adjust it back up. Will have that completed today so tomorrow we can give it another run. I am settin the boost first then will toy with the stop set screw till i get 25% more pressure in the exhaust side than intake side.

I did swapped out the back glass, the single pane is much nicer than the sliding glasses. Just have to take it in for heat reflective film to be put on it. Can't leave well enough alone

Sliding back glass is nice for transporting loooong things - just slide it inside, rest on the top of dashboard and on the top of pickup. 4 m long pipes and carpet were just right. But here it is not so hot. "Drobek" = The Small One - Discovery 2, "BlufĂnek" = The Blue Thing - Defender 130, and for me at least Ford Mondeo Smile

We have lots of sand, and it finds it way through the windows and fills the cracks.

I am lookin to swap the front radius arms from defender pin type to disco2 johnny joint type.

should allow for more articulation and smoother movement of the front axle. It worked nicely for the rear, why not the front? Can't leave well enough alone

Bringing up my build for one last major upgrade.

Currently i am running a R380 with V8 fifth gear, and a 1.211 TC ratio. First gear is one heavy Censored , but 2-5 are great.

@125kph i am 2550rpm, and have plenty of grunt to pull away to 150kph easily.

I sold some old parts, and other parts that didnt make it onto my ride, which partially funded my MT82 upgrade.

Scored a refurbished unit and the MD Eng td5 to MT82 kit and as much of all the lil details as i could. was about 5K for the whole lot with shippin. And i went with bespoke shift levers, and all the cool look good and go fast parts.

I have a couple rides in the shop that will be finished before i start on mine. I am planning around the second week of Dec to start and finish this venture.

As the oil cap is only 2.4ltrs, i am addin an oil cooler with pump, to circulate the oil and keep it nice and cool. I also am followin the mustang guys with the DCT oil and Xl-18 friction modifier. This way my gearbox is gettin all the best bits. I will score another pump for the TC if i notice the temp climbin with the 1.1 ratio. Got coolers from the supercharged RR with fittings for a like stock install with 4" Spal puller fans. Even will add inline filters to catch all the 10 micron debris.

Now i will be able to easily crawl in traffic, and retain the low rpm at cruising. Can't leave well enough alone

Zed,

Will post some pix tomorrow. I have most of the parts already laid out. The adapter kit is simple enough, but red loctite will be my go to juice to slobber on the bolts. Can't leave well enough alone

side project

My Maf was at 2.5V at idle, and about 4V cruising. I needed the Maf readin to drop, so i scored a Maf from a disco 2. with the help of Martin, i got the new Maf pinout and created an adapter loom to go between the engine loom and new Maf.

The original Maf is 68mm ID, the disco2 is 70mm stock, but i punched it out to 73mm, (pic with no screen in it) and i am making a 15mm spacer to raise the sensor so it is less restrictive. This should give me a lower idle V reading as well as a much lower cruising V reading.

My water methanol inj uses the maf voltage as a reference. When idle is 2.5v and cruising 4v that leaves 10-15% to deliver the inj. The lower the voltage at cruisin the more accurate my inj can be. Can't leave well enough alone
