Millie has got a bit of bling on her now
I thought that she deserved it and this package came for her about 4-5 weeks ago

Click image to enlarge So i finally got time to put it on Millie, but it would not fit  so i had a good look and it would not fit over the outer ring, in needed to be another 5 mil wider  so i went indoors and got on the phone to Optimill and explained the problem, so they said send it back and we will do another one for you, so on Monday i had the package come for me and i unwrapped it again and guess what, it fits........................................
Yes i know it is dirty there, i'm not washing her off until after this coming Sunday

I'm well chuffed now and my hat goes of to Optimill as it was no trouble at all to sort the problem out  1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. Keeper.

You can't, the keys don't come out until it's in the locked position when fitted 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. Keeper.

Well that's even better then. Doubt you'd have it hangin off the ignition without noticing.

As i got in Millie to go to work this morning, yes i know what day it is

So an update for you all.................... As she was going in last Wednesday for another one of her 6,000 mile services, 2 or 3 days before she started making a nasty noise and i was thinking that it was the front diff saying, i have had enough now
So i left work a bit earlier than normal and i went over to my indy to ask them what they thought, so they did a few tests and thought that it could be the front diff, but 100% sure it was 
As he was checking all underneath with the prop shafts, he noticed the back prop shaft that attaches to the diff was a bit loose and the seal was slightly leaking oil, so he took it off to have a further look and found that the nut that attaches the adaptor to the shaft was not tight at all and could undo it with his fingers, so as Millie was going in he did not want to put any lock thread on it and it will be all sorted out
Well on my way home the nasty noise had gone and when i got home i rang them to tell them and no need to talk about replacing the diff
Then on my way to work the nasty noise started again and luckily i was dropping off Millie for the service work to be carried out and they could sort out this nut problem. So after they had done the work, my indy told me that he had to put more than usual thread lock on as they can't get a new nut from LR as they don't make it anymore 
So all is good at the moment and i was told that if the nasty noise comes back i have to go to my indy sooner rather than later
The question is, does anyone out there in this fab parish know where i can get one of these special nuts for my Salisbury axle
