Yep, I'm with Direct Line. Extra £90 on premium and doubled my excess just coz of a wee 'A bar' tried to say it was a light bracket - they wouldnt have it Laughing 2005 TD5 90 Hard Top

When I was looking into it, A-bars are fine, but have to be of the "softer" variety for 2006 on models. Howver, it's bull bars that are illegal now on new models (since 2006).

I have read the whole thing about 5 times now, and it says nothing in it about fitting a pre-legislation A-bar to a post-legislation vehicle.
