Long time since I did this & it wasn't a Landrover but a couple of bits of bent coat hanger used to do the job , it was only something to push a spring clip back and allow you to pull the radio out.

Did give this a try, the coathanger bits fit the hole but don't result in any movement  |

The image of the radio unit is right, but the tool looks like it's for a 4 hole rather than 2? I'll give them a ring though |

When wiring up my auxilliary lights I just popped along to my local dealers and asked if they would be kind enough to release it for me which they did!!!

Try a long 2.5mm allen key, I believe. I took mine out a few months back- about 3 mins (the bolts are quite long) to get both loose enough to pop out and the cassette / radio pulls out easy as after that.

If its a genuine LR radio/cassette, Paullo is right, there are 2 allen headed bolts holding the head in NOT the tabs that require wire/prongs to remove, like most radios.
