I’m not getting much back from Land Rover and I need to get it on the road ASAP
I’ve sent them a second email asking them to clarify their response but nothing back yet !

I want to get my ducks in a row in case they want nothing to do with it

I guess it depends on how much time you have to sort it.

I would have thought a complete swap over with a low mileage 2nd hand axle would be quickest, if you can buy it for the right price. (assuming no change in design and ABS sensor compatibility etc if relevant)

And you could then strip down the original axle at your leisure for spares.

Not sure if the 90 front diffs were the same as 110 which if I recall correctly went from 2 spider gears to 4 at some point along the way. So you may end up with a stronger front diff as well by picking up a later axle.

I thought I’d post this as Britpart have just added a heavy duty axle casing as a direct replacement for standard. What a shame it wasn’t a few months earlier !

Useful to know. Thanks. What option did you go for in the end?

I went for a second hand complete axle , turned out the diff was knackered though so lesson learnt and on reflection I’d have bought new https://www.instagram.com/hustynminepark/

LRJ had not change manufacturing process for the front axle I.E. the way axle end flanges wald too the main part of the axle just to save penneys

(NOT fit for purpose) LRJ should pay to replace ALL defective Axle
