All the small type ignition switches supercede to LR039638 and they have two holes.

Maybe LR did the right thing for once and made it easy to change Laughing

I would follow the workshop manual, looks easier than a non-Puma Thumbs Up  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Did you get this fixed in the end ? I’m about to order an ignition switch as last night I jumped into the landy soaking wet cranked up the blower and absolutely nothing happened , then the radio stopped . Wiggled key in ignition, radio worked again but the moment i turned on the blower they both stopped . Sounds like a ropey connection on the switch.

Is it just the switch I need and how much of a pain is the job ?

Thanks https://www.instagram.com/hustynminepark/

Hi Martin,

That’s great , thank you. Although I did manage to change the switch without dismantling the steering column. The screws holding the switch in place are not done up at all tight albeit rather awkward to get at . https://www.instagram.com/hustynminepark/
