Puma rear door lock on a 300di?
As I’m in the process of repairing the rear door on my 99 110 300tdi csw, I want to convert the reardoor lock over to central locking as i’ve already done the other four doors. Thinking of fitting a puma door lock to allow me to attach a solenoid. So before I buy one should it be a straightforward swap ? Thanks in advance. 1999 300TDI 110 CSW BMW 3.0

You'll need the rocker pivot and remote push rod to mount the actuator out of the way.

The rod comes out of the top of a puma handle mechanism.

Also you'll probably want to fit a mudstuff door card or similar to make more room Thumbs Up 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

Whilst I appreciate that the whole point of central locking is to ignore this sort of thing, bear in mind that it'll be a completely different key. The barrel is larger to accommodate the later keys, so you'll need the matching thinner plastic bezel to fit the hole in the door.

I did the reverse of this to my old 90, fitting an earlier lock to a Puma rear door and apart from having to swap the bezel on the door I'd bought, it bolted straight on. Darren
