Oil depression control valve removal question
Hi all, I would like to change my oil depression control valve LLN100140L. Has anyone any tips for removing the bottom part from the turbo hose. It appears to be permanently fixed with some sort of hose collar clamp. Is there a tool for removing this clamp and is there an easier way to fix the replacement ? Cheers Andy

You could open it up with a screwdriver, there are proper pliers to refit.
Or cut it off with a hacksaw and replace with jubilee clip.

There are special tools to remove and refit. Not overly costly.

Can I ask what has led to it needing to be replaced? Symptoms?

You can clip them back together with a pair of end cutters if you're careful when you remove them Thumbs Up 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

I haven't got any symptoms as such leading me to change this unit. However the surrounding area is covered in old oil and grime and I've read that some consider this bit of plastic which is subjected to hot gasses should be a service item. So I'm going to pop it off and have a look.

I changed mine for the same reason. “We don’t sell many of these” said the LR parts guy.

It made no difference but won’t do any harm to change it. I cut off the clip and replaced it with a plastic one.
