Factory sub question
I want to add a sub, ideally the factory unit on the back off the cubby, is the connection part off the loom hidden underneath? Or did they make looms that didn’t have this for the defender that did not have it specc’d? I had the cubby out and it def not sticking out but I doubt they would leave it underneath? Andy

The loom is sometimes there on cars which weren't fitted with the sub.

No pattern either - mine's a 2015 XS 90 without, but people have reported base hardtops with the plug in place.

It's an obvious plug underneath the cubby box - have a search there are photos in previous threads on here Smile  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

I have a HT without the factory amp, but the plug is there under the box. Whip it out and have a look. Incidentally, if you do fit it, let me know how much of a difference it makes as I was thinking of getting one.

Just fitted one. Even though I bought the appropriate harness still needed another power feed wired in.

The difference is incredible. Have had to turn the sub power right down because there is SO much bass. Shakes everything in the cubby. https://instagram.com/bentheoandrews

Also very pleased with mine but no plug under the cubby sadly in my MY16 XS HT even though there was in my previous povetry spec HT of the same age Confused

Had the local ICE folk today install it. Smile Rob

I thought it would just be a case of plug and go but had to take it into an auto electrician to get it fired up. https://instagram.com/bentheoandrews

I had the sub in the last one and miss it. Def not there as I had the cubby out so will have to go down a different route it seems. Andy
